How much difference do component cables make with the Wii?

I've got a Wii connected to my Westinghouse LVM-37w3 via stock S-video cables.

How much difference do the component cables make? (please elaborate on differences seen)

I'm not sure how much of a difference the image would be between your S-video cable to the component cables. From composite to component there is a slight image upgrade. Colors pop out a bit more and edges are cleaner.

Component would make a noticeable difference. It's totally worth it. Especially if it's only $5 from monoprice.

The huge difference i noticed was the sharpness...with regular composite cables the text was rather blurry and motions were rather blurry with my old Toshiba 37" LCD and same with my Sharp 42" LCD. The component cable switch is definitly worth it if you get the cables cheap enough. Now component vs s-video i have no idea. I'd probably guess it would be similar?

For me, this greatly depends on the game. Some games were developed with the graphics being displayed on HDTVs more in mind than others. A good comparison example would be Zelda vs Metroid vs Mario Galaxy. After playing all three, you will clearly see that Zelda paid the least attention while Metroid and Mario both did a pretty good job. Mario is great for more vibrant colors while Metriod is also vibrant with more details. I still prefer playing Zelda on 480p though.
