Don't remember exactly but probably about $2500 including everything.

In case you're wondering I'm not that guy who drives through your neighborhood at 2 in the morning with the bass up - my system isn't setup for bass (I've got a single 10" sub). Plus I have the common courtesy to turn my stereo down at night in neighborhoods and when I'm at a traffic light with my windows down.

Oh, hell no...not me.
If I'm at a traffic light, my windows will be down and the stereo turned up :)

Mediocre sounding, but it's light. :D

Thats a great price for the Panasonic 9800.
Was it new ?? Where did you buy it ??

Ebay, but don't bother. Prices have fallen. The CQ-C9801U has a new MSRP of $320 or so now, so these Triamp equipped headunits should be pretty cheap soon.

Zapco 6.0x Amp - 1100
Oz Audio Components - 300

Front/Back

KAPPA PERFECT6.1 6-1/2" Component System - $699/pair -x4

Sub

GTI 15in JBL Subwoofer - $699 retail -

Amp

REF1210A 1200 Watt Class D Subwoofer Amplifier - $574 retail

HU

Alpine 50W x 4 iPod-Ready Satellite Radio-Ready CD Deck with MP3 Playback - $267 retail

None of this is in my car yet. I still need to pick up another 400watt amp, an extra battery rig, and full dynamat setup.

To top it all off, I fit in the less then $1000 category as all of this (with the exception of the headunit) was purchased at 95% off from a company sale.

You can hate me now. :D

I had a nice pair of MB Quarts and a Rockford deck in my Supra, but it was all clearence stuff so it was cheap, and I made the Xovers myself. My MR-2 just has the stock 7 speaker setup with a cheesy pioneer mp3/wma deck, but it does the job. I'd have to spend thousands of dollars to get the sound even close to my $60 pair of headphones on my PC, and then I wouldn't be able to hear it over the catback/3" exhaust and the motor & turbo two feet behind my head anyway, so that would just be stupid.

Alpine 9835
JL 300/4 amp (bridged to 2 channel)
Focal Utopia 165W up front
Kenwood components in rear (disconnected)
Audiobahn amp
Cheap Coustic sub

I've spent too much on the system, but the deck/amp/focals will be my main setup for a long time.

About $3000 for the system in my stealth.

Additions to my durango will probably cost ~$1000. The Durango came with the Infiniti Premier system so I don't plan on changing it.

Panasonic 1003u ~$250 w/ Sirius tuner don't have it yet but I'm getting it back from my Ex-GF next week
DEI Viper 6.5 components $175
2 RE SE 12's ~$400 great subs for the price
Orion Xtreme 900 ~$300 bought about 4 years ago
Cadence In-dash EQ ~$100
Autotek sx275 $115 It's on its way here.

Stuff I used to have:

Orion HCCA12 I forget the price but it was a hell of a sub, I think it was about $300
DEI CompX 12 Got it as a replacement for my HCCA when I sent it in for reconing right when Orion sold out to Directed, They told me it was comparable to the HCCA, it's not. It had decent SQ but didnt hit near as hard as the HCCA. I think list price was about $250 on them.
US Acoustics USX4065 $150 Had it for a few years, but it just died last week. Getting the Autotek to replace it.
Infinity Kappas in my old car. ~$100 for all 4 speakers.
Profile Amp $60 One of the older California series, the blue ones. Was a decent amp for the price I payed.
Lightning Audio 1 farad cap $100
Panasonic 800u ~$300 in 2000 Still in the car right now until I get the other one back.

Thats all I can think of right now.

"With my windows down and my system up sayin' I don't give a F"...?? ;) :p

Nah, seriously though. If my windows are up the car next to me isn't going to hear much so I don't turn it down but if I've got my windows down and someone is beside me I try and have some courtesy - unless the driver happened to piss me off. ;)

All in $CAD

Kenwood KDC-319 $250
Audiobahn expert 20' RCA $22
Audiocontrol 4xs $5 (<3 eBay :) )
Audiocontrol EQL $80 (in the mail)
MTX 4244 $100

Works out to about $850cad.

Still gotta play around with my XO points, get a midbass up front to cover ~70hz to ~200hz, and definetely need to get some more bass after giving my friend back his 15" Dayton DVC (think Adire Tempest).
