How much did you pay to get your taxes done?

Bargained my accountant down to $90 from $135. How much are they normally supposed to charge? They tried to tell me they were giving me a discount because original cost was $170. :disgust:

i paid the electronic filing fee , i think it was $15 federal and $10 state? or something? i don't remember

$6 or something like that for H&R block e-filing my state return. Federal was free, thanks to 401k contributions dropping my taxable income.

I do my own, always have.

Its getting more complicated up here with more forms instead of generic returns. More like putting the pages of a book together now.
Also have wife, son and daughter to do. Just finished up mine and wifes, waiting for another form to do my sons due to education deductions.

$2073 refund, so it isn't a biggie.

I'm going to buy Canada.

Man, change your withholdings, that's too much of an interest free loan to the government, IMO.

I like withholding more than i need to too... i have a tendency to spend what i could be getting interest on. Therefore the big lump sum check works well for me!

But you aren't getting interest on this. Or are you saying that you take this and invest the whole thing?
