How much did you pay for your pair of glasses (frames + lens)???

well, just came back from lens crafters, and spent about $200 buying a new pair (granted, this is with the $100 off coupon).... $170 for the lens ( , i have really bad vision) and $129.99 for the frames... just wondering how much all of you guys paid for your pairs...

I didn't get glasses, my eye doctor dude said I should get them though. I'll get them only when I have a problem!

 

My last pair was just over $200.

I got mine at costco for around 150 total I think. I rarely wear mine so the limited choice in style didn't really bother me and the price was the best i could find anywhere.

But with me, my glasses, lens, and visit to the Optometrist cost 2,800 Pesos, or with current exchange rates: $51.46.

And that includes a 400 Peso discount due to the fact that my uncle and the owner have been friends since childhood.

My Union insurance pays for my glasse/exam/ every 2 years.

I INSIST on Glass lenses,with Photo-gray lenses.

No damn plastic for me.NO WAY.

I would ruin plastic lenses in 2 months.

Glass last for 4-5 years for me.

Awesome deals, but where's the glass lenses?

I'd certainly like to know why a pair of glasses should cost any more than that. WTF, there's nothing to them! Hell, you can buy an LCD monitor for less than some of these vultures charge for a simple pair of glasses. Pisses me off!

my only con about buying glasses online is i cant try them on.. when i was at lens crafters, i probaly tried on 2-3 dozen of pairs.....

The frames are Armani.The lenses of the highest quality and they look great on me.

Under $30 at Zenni optical. Actually bought three, so $90 total, one with a tint, two regular. One of the regulars got stepped on accidently so it was good to have a spare and not have a hissy fit over the monetary loss.

I'm in England so I get SHAFTED...

Armani frames: £120 + £50 lense = £170 $306
(I've had the lenses replaced about 3x in total once due to stepping on them and 2x for change in prescription

Oakley Why3 : £220 + £150 (Oakley lenses) = £370! $666

I need new prescriptions for these but saving some £££ up first.

I'll get eye surgery when my eyes level out and when I save some more £££.
