Inspired by this post, I want to know how much you made when you got your very first job, and if you want to share, what kind of job it was.

dish washer at a chinese restaurant: $4.25/hr

$6.50 an hour. Underpaid and over worked, but I spent the entire day driving around in a truck with no boss to bitch at me so it wasn't all that bad. Second job I was making $40 - $50 an hour depending how fast I finished the surveys. Usually only worked about two hours a day.

I think it might help if you included the year and possibly that years minimum wage if you want to get detailed.

minimum wage was $4.25
