The US and Britain removed a Democratically Elected Leader in a Muslim Nation to secure their oil interests and make sure the brown people didn't get any real profits from the oil on their lands.

http://www.nytimes.com/library/world/mideast/041600iran-cia-index.html

Written in 1954 by one of the coup's chief planners, the history details how United States and British officials plotted the military coup that returned the shah of Iran to power and toppled Iran's elected prime minister, an ardent nationalist.

The document shows that:

Britain, fearful of Iran's plans to nationalize its oil industry, came up with the idea for the coup in 1952 and pressed the United States to mount a joint operation to remove the prime minister.
The C.I.A. and S.I.S., the British intelligence service, handpicked Gen. Fazlollah Zahedi to succeed Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadegh and covertly funneled $5 million to General Zahedi's regime two days after the coup prevailed.
Iranians working for the C.I.A. and posing as Communists harassed religious leaders and staged the bombing of one cleric's home in a campaign to turn the country's Islamic religious community against Mossadegh's government.

How about a documentary to go with that :

Western and Soviet foreign policy is certainly partially to blame for modern Muslim phenomena.

True. instead of pumping money into development of countries, all that money was used to turn people against each other. All because of the cold war.
Without the cold war we would maybe had to wait another 50 years before our current technology would be available. Did you know that the US and the USSR at the time suspected each other from doing nuclear experiments on the dark side of the moon ? I am not making this up, a lot of the science of space was discovered with satellites that where able to detect gamma rays. Satellites designed to detect radiation from nuclear explosions from nuclear bombs. This was perhaps also the reason to go to the moon.

I will try to find a documentary what the USSR did. Because now we get a one sided view about the US while the USSR was not sitting still either...

al-qaeda's philosophy is grounded in wahhabism which began right when the americans discovered their independence.

i highly doubt operation ajax is somehow responsible for the millions killed in the name of islam (most other muslims).

I think it's about time the west stop blaming itself to the leadership decisions of muslim states.

"the West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact, non-Westerners never do."
