As in the title. the network icon in my tray says 1,000,000 packets transfered. I was curious how many megs that is?

AFAIK a packet can be of various sizes depending upon what is going over the network. A packet for a game of counter strike may be a different size than the packets used transferring a file through FTP or even HTTP.

It depends on how your packet size is defined in your registry. You can set your packet size to various sizes. If it is too big you lose data. See dslreports for more information about maximizing your pc for top bandwidth. They explain the different terms very well.

Depends on protocol. For example, UDP and TCP packets are different sizes. TCP is bigger because of the control and delivery information.
