how much damage can an overclock do at low levels?

So I wanted to see how far my computer could overclock, I did very small incremental steps, it became unstable at 103Mhz FSB (it would just keep restarting), so i just went back to 100Mhz FSB, but now the bloody thing is still randomly restarting. did I do permanent damage? is there a chance that this is coincidental with another problem? I've been trying different driver sets and all, but it still happens

there is a chance that you did mess something up. But at only 3Mhz on the FSB seams unlikely. That is only a 40Mhz OC on a 400Mhz FSB. I usally have mine up'ed to about 6Mhz on the FSB on a stock cooler, and I have a Friend who has his at 12Mhz overclocked FSB,

I had my 1.8 P4A to 1.91Ghz with stock cooler and at 4 degree incresse in case heat temp dont know CPU temp yet.

My friend is running a 1.3 P4A OC to a 1.5Ghz with a 1.8Ghz stock HS/F with only a 10 - 12 degree running temp change on the CPU.

This isnt my main machine, thats why the specs arent that great, but as for doing my papers and stuff on it, as well as playing games like half-life and starcraft, it gets the job done

Thats only 3 Mhz I dont see how that could of hurt it, My borhter had that board and chip and was able to go as high a 50Mhz OC and not have any problems I think he aslo went as high as 100Mhz OC and still ran fine.
