I went to swap out a sim card at the AT&T store and my mom noticed that there was an unknown name that was added as an account holder. (Probably a person that can give a discount or something).

How much damage can this person do? I don't know the person and apparently neither does she.

She ask to have the ATT employee take the person off the account. I was surprised it was pretty quick though.

They can likely change any billing information or add/modify/delete any services on the account itself I would imagine. They may also have access to financial/personal information and any SMS messages that were sent on the account.

If that were my account, I would definitely inquire as to how something like that happened to ensure it doesn't happen again, and potentially change any password/PIN information associated with the account.
