How much cpu is needed to use 8500's power?

Is my Duron 900 holding back my 8500 or what?

I just upgraded from a GF2 MX and my initial impressions are very underwhelming. After quickly running some games, it appears that I can now run in 32-bit at about the same fps as the GF2 MX got in 16-bit mode. Whoopee.

Maybe my expectations were too high or maybe I need to tweak some settings. I don't know. Will I notice much improvement going to a XP1700?

How much ram you have? I would think that a Duron 900 would be able to run it to 90% of it's potential at least. That XP ought to peg it.

What utility can you use to overclock the Radeon OEM version???

The latest version of Powerstrip ought to support overclocking the 8500.
