There haven't been any other Kiss 3 cameras sold on eBay recently that I can find, but the US equivalent, the Rebel 2000, has been selling for around $50.

I sold a bare Rebel 2000 (just the camera body, body cap, and batteries) for $30.

Don't expect to get very much for 35mm SLRs. 35mm rangefinders are holding their value a little better.

One thing that could make a big difference is whether those lenses can be used on the Digital Rebel lineup (ie XT/XTI/XSI), and if they are cheap plastic or L glass. Either way, the lenses themselves have to be worth a moderate chunk of change even if the buyer doesn't want the camera...

all EF lenses can be used on all EOS cameras.

those lenses aren't worth all that much.

You should tell your friend to add some more detail of the condition of the items to the listing description. Any fungus on the inside of the lenses, causing the lens to look a bit cloudy? Any scratches or blemishes on the glass of the lenses? Are the aperture blades of the lenses nice and snappy and clean? Post the aperture numbers as well in addition to the focal length of the lenses.

I know they're not worth a lot (assuming they're the basic plastic lenses I think they are) but they should still be worth a bit to someone. Unless they are in bad condition, I would expect to get more for the lenses than the camera considering that even the cheapest 75-300mm Canon lens retails for about $200...

I agree with "the bunny". :) If you put a description of the lenses themselves in the listing and mention the lenses in the title of the auction it will probably get a much better response.
