It's a week 19 AYHJA Y core.

How much could I push this CPU with this config? (no I don't want to change my cooling or anything like that).

Probably ????MHz What do you think?

Sys:
512Mb PC133 CAS 3
MSI K7T Turbo-R Limited edition
Taisol CKG760092 cooler w/arctic silver
Enermax EG-651PVE 550Watt PSU

Now running at 1418MHz @ 1,75V

Right now my CPU is 45 deg C IDLE and 48-49 deg C under full load.
Case temp is 20-22 deg C. (addtronics 7890A case)

I would think 1500 at least and maybe 1600 I can run mine a 1617 11x147 at that speed it will do everything but 3dmarks 2001 I get kicked to the desktop.. I run it everyday at 1550.

go to athlonoc.com as they have a large database of overclocking averages for all different AMD chips. As for my personal opinion, your cooling seems pretty week and I wouldnt expect you'd get past 1450 by much if at all.

At least 1400 or so, possibly 1500 if your quite lucky. I doubt you'll see above that though it's possible.

Ditto on the 1.5GHz. That seems to be where most of them land, or slightly less.

If you get good cooling i thin you'd be okay...don't forget the PSU...it's the difference between stability and no stability. My 1.33 AYHJA @ 1540...hoping to go higher...replacing FMI 400 W with enermax 431 W. Got the enermax for free! YIPPPEE!

Personally my week 19 AYHJA has trouble being stable at 1500 mhz with 1.85 volts. It seems ok at 1466 but even then it doesnt seem 100% stable. Im running a 300 watt Sparkle with a Geforce 2 ultra and a 10,000 rpm SCSI drive. Do you think the PS could be a problem as far as stablility at higher speeds? I have the Theromengine with a 7k rpm fan and the CPU temp is not a problem. I have a high quality PS but i dont know if it possibly cant handle my load of 3 HD's and 2 cdroms and the overclocked T bird.

Well i guess a PS would solve my problem but i dont think 100mhz more is worth paying 70bucks for a new PS, unless i could find one cheaper that would last me for a few upgrades.

Compusa...400 W...60 bucks...not bad. But it's only a 100 mhz. At times like this...you can just here your computer singing "Can you take me higher!"...lol

Well maybe my mobo was holding me back because just today i think i finally found the problem with my computer. After trying to copy the Windows 2000 partition from my IDE to my SCSI drive windows got corrupted. This is my fourth install of windows in 2 weeks. I put my old P3 800 back in temporarily and everything seems to be going OK. With my Abit KT7A board in FDISK it saw 2 exactly similiar SCSI drives when i only had one. Im wondering if this problem relates to problems ive been hearing with the KT133 chipsets.

PM if you have any questions with hang ups...i thought my OCing was done when i hit 1540 but i did a lil tweaking and i was able to get 1600.
