I think most of the people here don't know what a 'max' bench is 'strictly'.
it has to do down level and then 'rest' on your chest 'NO BOUNCE' then come up evely as well. The bar has to be moving at all times when its not 'resting' on your chest. It has to rest on your chest long enough for at least a clap or that sort of time so you can't bounce it off your chest.
Your hand can be no longer then a certain strict distance also. I think its about 75cm or 81cm, not sure as I don't Bench press competively. Your feet have to be flat on the floor and your back has to be flat on the bench also. The bench also have to conform to standard PowerLifting rules and condiditions also.
I Weight Lift so I only do close grip benches to build strength in my tri ceps. I can max 180lbs strictly. I weigh 77.25kg at 18 and 5"10. I max squat 140kg (308lbs).
