How much can I overclock this?

I don't really like to stray from stock settings as typically the manufacturer knows best, but noise and power really isn't an issue to me. How much can I overclock my Titan X's (They are in SLI) with their stock cooler... and how much could I overclock them if I were to get them water cooled. As I understand, they are capped to a 275 TDP, but I don't know what that translates into as far as OC'ing goes.

PS: I don't want to know how much I could *theoretically* push them. What are safe OC's.
 
In general, with proper cooling, you'll get about 1400mhz on stock bios. That's assuming you can keep the temperature around 70c. A modded bios will increase your voltage to 1.275v and cap of 425w TDP. Then, you can push it upward of 1500-1550mhz if you're water cooled. You can do a hybrid CLC water cool build; but the VRAM and VRM will get out of control with increased voltage. You're going to need a proper backplate/heatsink and/or air flow on the back of the card to keep them cool. I think the best option is to slap one of those EVGA hybrid water cooler on there. It's about $120 and pretty easy to install. That would defintely get your around 1400mhz on stock bios. As always, YMMV.
