i'm running a A64 3200 on a asus k8v se, with 512 of mushkin lvl 1 3500. originally wanted to OC a little, just to 2.15, but i could never get the system to oc and be steady, so its just running at 2.0 (200 FSB). so my question is, should i spend 150$ for another 512, or should i just buy a gig of mushkin 3200 for the same price and sell this 3500 i have?

If your not OCing, sell and get a gig. $150 is an awful lot for 512MB of PC3200.

Shop around just like Rike said. $150.00 is quite a bit for 512.

I'd get the addtional memory myself. You'd be amazed what 1gig of Ram will do for your machine. :)

ya get 1gig, and instead of trying to OC the memory, set a 4:3 divider, like i did - if your comp is rebooting, then it is the ram, so setting a divider shud let u get 2.5 at least

++ athlon64s dont suffer from being set on a divider, but i wouldnt really do it on a single-channel system because it would be bandwidth starving. but if u get 2 identical sticks in the future, give that a go
