How much better is R7 260X over my 6850?

So, I was reading the latest video card guide on Anandtech (http://www.anandtech.com/show/8662/best-video-cards-october-2014). I saw that the R7 260X (~$99) is good for "1080p (low)". Back when I bought by 6850, it was considered good for "1080p (med)". But I have to assume that the R7 260X is way better than the 6850 I'm using right now, right? Are the 1080p (low) and 1080p (med) scales just relative to the current requirements of today's games? So if I had the inclination to buy a R7 260X, it would be a bump in performance for the games that I used to play. For example, Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, DOTA 2.

So my question is - how much better is the R7 260X over my 6850?

Why should he care about that tier list, a 270x will give him double or more frames in games, that's a HUGE improvement.

R7 260X = Radeon HD 7790 (Bonaire)

It performs better (very slightly), has new features like True Audio and Mantle support while also using less power.

Guys - thanks for the insights. Got a lot of good information. Given that I'm not experiencing any issues with my 6850 and it can handle the games that I'm playing now, along with the R7 260X not providing a big step function improvement in performance, it doesn't make sense for how much I'm willing to spend at this point.
