I want some more range would this give it to me? also I can't find out how much power a orinoco gold puts out, anyone know?

I might just wait for a cisco 802.11g card though :)

I do have a couple friends that enjoy wardriving. Most of them use Orinoco gold cards because it's pretty easy to rig up some "range boosters" (and connect them to the little external jacks that most, if not all, orinocos have) to boost their range. Dell actually re-brands orinocos as dell wireless cards (I know because we have them at work). Sorry, I'm not sure on the power output of an orinoco gold though.

I love Cisco Aironet equipment though. Maybe just because I'm a diehard Cisco fan.

I haven't had enough time to read up on new wireless equipment, but 802.11g has the same range as 802.11b (as it is still 2.4GHz-based). It is nice that it is as fast as 802.11a and not as expensive as 802.11a gear I must say. I can't wait to get my hands on some quality 802.11g gear as well. :)
