how long do you think it will take to get/find to parking, park, get to the stadium and then get into the stadium (already have print-at-home tickets)?

Well it depends on how far you are away from the stadium and what the traffic is like at that time of the day. Is the game at Philly or Toronto?

You live in New York and plan to drive? Wouldn't it be faster to hop a train/plane/taxi and watch the Lakers?

Nah, i was born and raised in philly, moved by 'myself' to new york a bit ago though, so I'm a big 76ers fan (aka fuck the lakers)

the game is at 7 P.M.
it's in philly
I'm meeting someone from burbs of philly (there now sort of, like 20 minutes away from city) then taking a car down

I would always leave at the MINIMUM 1.5hrs ahead of any sporting event cus you have to first, get to the event which there is going to be a buttload of traffic, park, find parking, walk to the stadium, wait in line to get in, metal detector funnel, find your seats, go to the bathroom, get some drinks, then go back to seats and settle in with enough time to see the start.

Does "tip" mean extra time beforehand? I've never seen it used like that before.

Tip off - at the start of the game the star athletes from each team come together in center court and exchange advice on how to invent the millions they will make that night.
