    Hi there,

My mother in-law is visiting from abroad, and while she's here, she likes to have her favourite radio station playing music and interspersing the broadcast with news... which I was able to get via internet streaming...

The thing is, I'm also downloading some stuff with Azureus, and I see my speed has dropped significantly... how much bandwidth can this damn radio use?

Lets say 128kbps radio. Divide that by 8, so you are basically downloading at 16Kb/s if you are listening to a station that broadcasts at 128kbps.

    I've wondered that at times.

Not that much, if you're on an exceptionally slow broadband connection you might notice it.

128 is on the high end for streaming radio.
