I should apply. I have applied it to two cpus before using the instructions on the AS site, but I'm not sure about the northbridge. anyways thanks.

should it be like this example? less?

All you need is a dab of it the size of tear drop. Once the heatsink mates with the chip itself, it will spread on its own. I think you added to much because it looks to be exceeding the edge o the chip itself.

Yeah... like 'Remedy' said... sort of.

Here's the deal...

Q: How much to use?

A: As little as possible. This stuff works on a microscopic level. You should be able to read the numbers through it -- if you will.

Q: Is it gonna be okay?

A: The problem is... this 'stuff' separates in the tube -- it doesn't go bad, per sey. That is, if the compounds separate, then it is bad, for all intensive purposes.

The easiest way to make it all good again is to squeeze the entire contents of tube out on a paper plate (or whatever) and swirl it around with a toothpick (or whatever) then suck it back into the tube -- if that makes any sense.

If this doesn't make any sense, just buy a new tube! ;)
