$1.069 per therm for January 2008.

Plus AGL (Atlanta Gas & Light) base charge (yea deregulation! ), franchise fee, customer fee, non-lubed bend over fee.......etc

most months my gas bill is comprised of more fees than actual gas usage.

Ouch...$1.14/therm. Not sure how many therms we used last month. HOPEFULLY, the new windows will have helped some.

Gas here is like $9 per 'unit'. I guess this is like 10 therms. I'm not sure. I have gas heat, 1 gas water heater, and gas cooking. Gas bill last month was like 18 bucks. At night, we close the bedroom door and use an electric heater with a thermostat on it. The electricity bill was only like $80.

That sounds like the minimum. Here, they charge you for 10 therms as a baseline. I guess they have to make the money for the person reading the meter and upkeep of the lines.

Wow we're getting ripped off.

Georgia Natural Gas here, $1.179.

The account is in my landlord's name and he had been "locking in" the price for a year, but that ran out I guess.

Our bill doubled last month to $182. Crazy.
