As an example: A good Long Island is supposed to have 5 shots of premium booze.

Aside from social events I haven't drank anything in the last 2 months or so. Before that I was drinking a bottle of Vodka or more per week due to depression. For newyears eve I decided to pick up a small bottle of Tequila for fun. The family also has some cheap sparkling wine. So let's see if I have 2 glasses of sparcling wine and finish off the Tequila (375ml of el Jimador) that works out to [2 oz for the wine] + [(375ml = 12.68oz)*40% = 5.07] = 7.07 oz of pure alcohol which equals about 17 shots of any normal liquor.

Is that math right? 17 shot is going to make for an interesting night. But then I was drinking 750ml bottles of Vodka before which was what .... 25 shots!

I'm not going anywhere tonight. Got half a bottle of draft sake left in the fridge from Xmas, which needs to be drunk. You can't keep it too long once it's opened. There's a bottle of Rickard's Red left too as some truly awful wheat beer I bought because a friend recommended it. So yeah, I'm hardly going to get wasted on that. I rarely drink.

What amount of Sake are we talking about here? Sake comes in all kinds of non regulation sized bottles. Also according to wiki Sake is traditionally about 15-20% which is 1/2 that of most booze.
