I'm getting braces eventually.

Any comments on braces & age? Anyone ever get braces in their upper 20s or early 30s? This will be the case with me.

am getting my invisalign in a little bit, already had the molds made but they're in the lab or something having the trays made...all i know is that i had an option between lower only invisalign and upper and lower full braces (you can get ceramic too, which are less visable, but cost a little bit more than metal braces) and the ivisalign were cheaper than full braces because it was only on lowers. i can't remember exactly how much it was, though i know insurance is covering half, and 5k seems much higher than what i had

my braces were like 2k, wore them like 3yrs in 7-9th grade. i really wish i wore my retainers more often after braces, cuz now theyre kinda crooked again, and the retainer won't go on at all :(

I'm 21... quoted at like 4-5k (can't remember) for invisalign. I think im going to get them soon, the orthodontist i went to for a quote is really good, and he does more invaslign in Philadelphia than anyone else. Done a few celebs and important people too. So when i get them, he's the guy im going to.

I want to go with invisalign, because even though im pretty self confident, i don't think metal braces will help me out socially for the next 2-3 years lol.

plus I think the last set for the invisalign basically acts as a retainer in case they ever get out of whack again...

I've needed braces for most of my life and I'm 20 now. My teeth are crooked as fvck. I had some teeth cut in half to make room for others because my jaw isn't big enough. Still never got them. My mother used to have dental insurance but now if I was to get them it'd be out of pocket. So I'm holding off for a while I guess, maybe until I'm done with college.

Getting braces when young is good, since when you're older, ie 25+.. you're wearing braces.. what are the chances of dating.. fricken I would totally beak out laughing at a grown guy who has braces. At least with invisialign, you can't tell.. its more for cosmetics

My lower jaw invisialign is 4100 but then again, Im in NYC so they jack up the price for rent too... you'll need to call them to find a place that'll do FREE consultation.. otherwise, they'll try to rape you

I'm only fixing crowding (3 teeth total) in my lower jaw. I had it since Feb of this year, my fix consist of 12 trays and I'm on tray 9. Avg 2 tray per month. Sometimes they'll add a week to each tray. Its pretty good.. I can take it off and eat and brush and put the tray back on..

The only reason is that I put away 2k on flex spending last year and this to offset my tax and i got no surgery that i wanna do.. well except my breast enlargement.. so pretty much its on flex spending..

I got pics of my trays if you want to see it.. ill have to go home and take them tonight

:camera:s please!!!!
