How much air does the PSU pull through the case?

I am planning a new system in a server size case and want to get a balance between the inflow and outflow fans.

For reasons beyond the scope of this question I am planning to install an Enermax EG565P-VE FMA2.0 SLI 535W PS. It has a 90 mm fan pulling air into the PS and 80 mm outflow. These are "Smart" fans with variable flow. I have been unable to find any documentation on how much air this PS will pull from the case.

Anyone have an estimate of the airflow going out of the case through the PS?

Terry,

Probably around 10 to 15 cfm if the power supply is not working in overtime (40% load or less). That PS should have a fan monitor for the 80 mm. Hook it up and you will probably see 900 rpm at the LOWEST fan setting. Turn the fan speed knob to MAXIMUM and you may see 1250 rpm.

Since the fans in most consumer PSUs these days are thermally controlled, it is hard to come up with a true figure - or even an average. As noted above, the fans will probably be running very slowly most of the time.
. And unless the fans are of identical resistance, they will vary at differing rates. So in figuring overall flow, I would ignore the PSU.
