I'm watching a program on PBS Through deaf eyes and I find it very interesting and informative.
The Mother of my Daughter grew up with two deaf parents and now works for the local school district as a ASL interpreter (something I suggested she pursue) so I do have some experience (although somewhat limited) with trying to communicate with none hearing people. My daughters Grandmother spent some time trying to teach me ASL and now I really wish I had pursued it more.
:brokenheart:
She passed away a few years back and I gotten to the point regret not having ever gotten to the point that I couldn't communicate with her as well as I wished I could.
How may here are deaf and how many hearing people Can communicate using ASL of some other means of sign?
