how many years experience is Entry/Mid/Senior level?

Does it depend on the job? Does a Senior Systems Administrator have at least the same years of experience as a Senior DBA?

In a few cases it can depend on the job. Usually I would say 1-3 is entry, 3-8 is mid, 8+ is senior.

Totally depends on the job.. but 1-3 is usually entry and then you start to build credit after that. In many fields, after about 8 yrs you will be near your max pay (minus COL increases) unless you move into a real management type position.
