How many WU's per day with Dual PIII 700 XEONS do?

1 Gig of RAM....not sure of drive speed...SCSI Raid - 6 drives.?

Might be mine for about two to three weeks...as they (yes..more than one for you racing fodder! :Q) are moving...but better than nothing! 🙂

Erm, i'd guess that they will do a little more than a single 700 will, due to the larger cache which prevents both processors in the dualie having to struggle for RAM bandwidth, so whatever a single 700 does plus a bit!

Not sure what a single 700 will do, but guessing at about 2-3 per day for 700, so i reckon 5-6 for a dual 700 xeon?

Just a guess!

Depends totally on the size of the L2 cache. I'd put it at 7-8hr/WU if th cache size is 1MB or more but that is just a guess.

I got the use of one at the end of last year..but for the life of me don't remember the number...

Seemed like about 8 WU's per day! All I know is that is a pretty good size "little' server. Dual 400W power supplies, 6 SCSI drives in some sort of RAID...1G or Ram (don't know the specs)...and dual XEON 700's running Win2k Adv. Server...

Shame it's only for a couple of weeks...not sure on how many I get to run on yet....10 of them total though! :Q

Even my dual-P3 733 @ 733 did about 5 WUs per day (typical 0.4xx-AR WUs came in around 9:40-9:50 in dual operation, with me browsing a fair amount). If the P3 Xeons in question have more cache, they should exceed that. If not, they should at least match it, considering they'll be fully idle. Nice score, Engineer! 😀

Engineer,
I had "HOSS" for awhile, an IBM Netfinity Server which had dual xeons, 700mhz with 2MB cache. 😀 The average per CPU was 5h28min.

So approximately 8.5 WUs per day. 😀
