I just used inSSIDer to help me figure out why my WiFi signal is being interrupted, and found out that there are no less than 36 different access points in my condo complex. Worse yet, a few of them are 802.11n access points configured for maximum performance mode, so they use multiple channels simultaneously. At least I was able to find a Wi-Fi channel with less signal interference, anyway.

Most of the access points have WPA encryption, but a few of them are still open. You would think that people would have learned their lesson by now.

About 6 or 7, but none that can affect my signal quality/bandwidth speeds.

I would suggest getting a mobile broadband device, whether via long distance wifi or WWAN.

2 counting myself. This is an apartment complex too. It is mainly elderly people though so I guess that is why the low count.

"Less than 5" is a poll option, but I guess that living out in the boonies doesn't really seem like a "neighborhood", either.

And I voted "Less than 5", I just wanted to clarify what that means for me. Less than 5 in a subdivision is a big difference than less than 5 when your population density is 1 person every 1.2 square miles.....
