How many weekends do you have left in life?

At 52 weekends a year, I'd have about 2000 (assuming I lived to be about 70). Considering that after I'm 60, I probably won't do much on the weekends, I'd say about 1500 useful weekends left of which I'd probably waste about half of it doing nothing or doing chores around the house. That leaves to about 750 weekends left to do something fun and enjoyable. That's not alot.

The point is: HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE! Don't waste it.

That's it I'm coming over to break your legs, just so you have less weekends left... :)

Go rent The Crow and watch Brandon Lee's interview at the end. He talks about how we take life for granted. He specifically mentions sunsets and how we'll probably only pay attention to a few more in our lifetime yet it all seems so endless. It's a very powerful thing to watch.

After 65 though, many of us will probably not be able to do much. Those lucky few who manage to stay healthy that long will be the only ones enjoying life, while the rest of us are in line at the local pharmacy.

Wish I could retire early.

I'm just about out of weekends. In college, all my weekends are spent either working to pay off college or to do homework. After that, I'm going to be a priest, and the job that I'll do that most people see is going to be on the weekends. Oh well... I think it was Socrates who said,

"Do what you enjoy doing for a living and you'll never have to work a day in your life."

(or something like that)

And how do you know you'll enjoy what you're doing till you start doing it?
