How many volts is too much

Running @ 2.71ghz right now with 1.45v wondering if its too much or if it will handle it well

1.45v is fine as long as you have adequate cooling. I wouldn't push past 1.55v, unless you really know what you're doing.

For a 4800X2 the typical OC is in the range of 2.5-2.7 GHz, with some pushing higher. 1.45V is not too high at all. Though I run at 2.66/1.344V, I have pushed my CPU to 1.58V when finding the max OC, and nothing adverse happened. Just keep an eye on the temps and don't break 1.625-1.65V on air cooling.

I hit 2.7 GHz on my rig, but I'm limited but my memory voltage options. Probably not much more headroom left, anyway, but it's one of those things that makes your wonder...
