How many unexplained events/mysteries/people currently exist on Lost?

1. The huge beast from the first season that was never actually seen
2. Polar bears on the island
3. The miraculous healings many of the characters experienced
4. The black mist/smoke that the african guy encountered
5. The original guy who was in the hatch
6. Walt
7. Michael
8. The meaning behind the numbers


I know I'm missing more things that were never explained, but that's all I can think of for now.

I'm just trying to consolidate some of theories into a single thread

Lets not forget "the others", which I am guessing are Dharma employess gone mad, and they're infatuation with children
the signficance of 108 (the amount of time between button pushes and the sum of the numbers)
the virus
the blacklight map
The connection between Alex and the others
Dharma itself seems shrouded in mystery and the fact that they are dping food and supply drops

Beast and smoke will probably turn out to be the same thing.
Polar bear is somewhat explained.. Walt made it with his mind.
Walt and Michael "saga" will be over by the end of this season.
The numbers have no meaning. That's the official words from the creators and writers.

Wow, that sucks. They spent so much time making it seem as if the number had great significance and now they're dropping that angle?
