how many types of p4 3.2 is there

E stands for the Prescott core on socket 478. C stands for the Northwood core on socket 478. EE stands for the Extreme Edition which is based on the Gallatin core (I think) for socket 478. That doesn't include all the 3.2 variants for socket 775 by the way.

Check newegg for prices but basically
3.2 C is/was around $275 (harder to find now)
3.2 E is around $220
3.2 EE was about $1000 (it's got 2mb of Level 3 cache)

Yeah good reason to go kick some more ass.

I love it pretty soon they will respect the best country in the world no matter whos in office

God Bless America

E stands for extra heat or extra cash. Why do you want to know ? Actually thinking of buying one ? Haven't read enough threads here about them ? The search button works wonders.... The last cpu to think of buying at the moment..

The P5AD2 premium is a socket 775 board. So you need to be looking at P4 that have model numbers instead of speeds, ie P4 540, 530, etc Those will work with that board.

LGA 775 P4s at Newegg

The P4 550 (3.4Ghz) is $283.00 right now at newegg.

BTW I would get the P5AD2 E version of the board as it supports the faster 1066mhz FSB incase you want to upgrade later.
