How many times will paypal chargeback for the same payment?!

I think this is the last time that I do business with paypal. Last month, they chargedback a payment from a buyer in South Korea.

Yesterday, they charged back the same payment a second time. How do they justify doing 2 chargebacks on the same payment? I tried calling (888-221-1161) and they were no help whatsoever.

Wheres the bot? Does the "seller protection plan" say that they can chargeback the same payment as many times as they want?

I'm nervous about getting a charge back too. I accepted a couple payments from unverified users. SO far so good, I'll see if everything goes smoothly.

yasha, close your account and witdrawl all funds. Before I attached it to my bank account, I'd request a check for every transfer, leaving them no way to get my money if a chargeback occured. Sure they could close my account, but then I'd just have to go back to using postal money orders...

Good idea. I hope I'm lucky so far. I guess I could only take paypal from verified accounts from now. I've been lucky so far but am always a little bit nervous accepting payments with paypal. I put the cash into my checking account right away after I get them.

and I wouldn't deal wiht people overseas either, just too much opportunity for something unforseen to happen. I wish paypal would have some kind of system where you could reject credit card payments if they looked fishy.

xaigi,

The answer depends on how much money you have in your account. The formula is as follows:

<$ in account> divided by <$ chargeback> equals <# times>
