how many times will elfenix have to run chkdsk before it completes a run?

interestingly, when i take it out of the external enclosure and put it in my computer, the drive seems to work fine. in the enclosure, it couldn't finish a format. in the computer, it finishes just fine.

i know i checked this chipset and it said it worked for drives bigger than 137GB, but now i don't know what to think.

maybe it's overheating?

That's what I did. Had the mechanics on a Maxtor drive die - sandwiched it between two bigass magnets for 6 months, and then RMA'd it.
