Once in 9 years for supposedly going 63 in a 55. On the road I was on I maintain 5 over usually at all times, but I saw the cop behind me so I was going about 58. After talking to him he let me off.

Zero times when I was driving; once when a friend was driving to Jack N' the Box--he was going to get a huge ticket for 1). not yielding to a pedestrian, 2). having illegal fog lights (blinded the cop), and 3). not having his proof of insurance in the car. Right when the cop was taking his ticket book out, he received a call about an accident (he was the closest to the accident). He let us off with a warning. I yelled at my friend for being rude to him.

Show them the video you recorded while driving and they'll probably slap you w some kind of unsafe/inattentive driving ticket as well. Doesn't sound like a good way to fight the system.

Poll needs an option for 'countless'....I dunno exactly but I picked 16-20 and I'm probably rounding down. Knock on wood haven't had a ticket for ~3 years but back in the day I had a million and a half.

3 times in the last 6-8 months. Apparently, thank you powers that be, there is some unwritten policemen/trooper rule against ticketing nurses. :D

Prior to that 2 times in 20 years. Each time I got ticket.

Driving since 1990.
Almost 1 million miles driven.
Countless times pulled over in cars.
Maybe 20 times in semi trucks.
I have not been pulled over in my personal car since at least 1996.

Last moving violation I got was in a semi truck. 64 in a 55 in TN. This was 2003.

I live in rural small town America now where the primary source of income for these little towns is tickets so I have been getting pulled over nearly evertime I am out driving now.

I use my cruise control religiously set almost 5 miles hour under the speed limit at all times.

I have now become the slow asshole the road everyone hates including myself but I still get pulled over for alledgedly speeding all the time.

your speedometer doesn't prove anything.

i had a ford taurus that said i was going 10 km/h slower than i really was.

Okay so your saying everyone should get a speedometer calibration and certificate?

The police should show you a certification from the radar unit then as well.

Where do you suggest I get this certification for my min-van which is apparently 10 mph off according to you?

I just can't believe you're still contributing to the oil barons and terrorists. You should take your own advice and not use oil.

ive been pulled over more times than i care to remember. i think i passed 30 before i graduated high school. ive been pulled over without a car for heavens sake. its been about 15 years since all that tho, and since ive been pulled over 3 times. once i was actually doing something wrong, the other 2 were cops stopping me for bs reasons. once was because i looked like i shouldnt be driving a cadillac. i asked what law that was breaking and he let me go.

1. Speeding on freeway (75ish in 55 zone);
2. Speeding on freeway (70ish/55);
3. Speeding on freeway (70ish/55);
4. California Stop;
5. Speeding in commercial zone (45 in 35).

Got tickets for all of them (The first three were in my first 2 years of driving about 20 years ago.)

The last one really pissed me off. I was in a rental car driving lost in Redwood City. The cop said that the businesses were complaining about speeders, so they were cracking down. I told him:

a. I was lost and had no idea I was in a such a sensitive speed zone;
b. I am from out of town (though I did not tell him that I grew up in the Bay Area) and I promise that, not only will I never speed in front of these businesses again, I will never knowingly drive down this street again. Accordingly, it does no one any good to ticket me.

The cop laughed, but still wrote the ticket.

Twice in 5 years. Both for loud exhuast. First time was my fault, got on it and didn't see the cop. Let me off with a warning saying just keep it mellow around town. Second time a the cop pulled up next to me at a stop light. I almost stalled my car in 1st, 2nd, and 4th gear from shifting so soon, keeping it super quiet. Still pulls me over saying it is illegal to have rasp in my exhaust. He completely ignored me when I asked where in town was it too loud. Even had me rev it up, of which I revved it up OVER what I was driving at...and he said give it more gas. It wasn't until then he said it was too loud. F'n prick. Actually gave me a written warning. Still pissed about that one.

4 times in ten years of driving. Twice in '99, twice in '04. EDIT: Two tickets, one from each year. Guess I'm batting .500, I hear that's pretty good :D

Gotten tickets 3/3 times. My last one was doing 85 in a 50 when I lost my license for 6 months, and about six months after I got my license back I drove my car in a ditch full of water and drowned it. Now I mooch rides wherever I can :p

twice...

I was driving through town one afternoon and I honked my horn at some lady who ripped out of a driveway and nearly hit me because she didn't check for oncoming cars first. and as I honked my horn at her, something broke in my steering wheel column and my horn wouldn't shut off. so I'm driving across town to the autoshop I go to and a cop pulls me over; I guess they were wondering if there was something wrong with me since my horn was blaring. they actually didn't even believe me until I turned off the car, stepped out of the vehicle, and the horn was still going off.

the second time was for the exact same thing, about 2 miles down the road :(

Twice. Both times were between the ages of 16-18 years old. That was many moons ago. That doesn't mean I'm not a speed demon though. I'm just smarter about it. ;)

2 times, one for speeding and one for not using a turn signal.

Only got a ticket for the speeding, I got off with a warning on not using the turn signal.
