I got my RMA'd motherboard back a while ago, but my computer broke down again. And again it is the motherboard's fault. Can I RMA it again? I should be able to, right?

I would assume so, as long as you can prove it is the fault of the motherboard.. Especially if they fixed and resent you your old MOBO rather than new one.. bummer dude..

cheers,

As long as the motherboard is broken and it's under warranty you can RMA it as many times as you want. That is, so long it's the motherboard's fault (e.g. you didn't put ice cream inside the case or anything ;)).

Sure, I once had a Soyo board that got RMA 9 times before I got one that worked.

"Sure, I once had a Soyo board that got RMA 9 times before I got one that worked."

Uhhh... Why didn't you ask for a different product around time 5 or 6?

To answer the original question, you can RMA a product as many times as you want so long as it is still under warranty.

Pariah They were new boards not repaired that they kept sending me all with different defects and problems if thats the question your asking. Unless you think Soyo is going to send me a Asus or MSI board.

No, Rain, usually when I have a defective product I tried to return it to the place of purchase first. Obviously if you are returning it straight to Soyo they aren't going to send you someone else's product. My misunderstanding.

No Pariah, the board was replaced by Soyo after a premature death of the original board and Soyo kept sending me defective replacments. You would think they would get a clue on their quality control or aleast pretest the board before sending it after the fith rma's just to see if I was the problem not being capable of setting it up right. I get very, very nice deals on open packaged mainbords from a local shop since about 1/3 of the board sales come back returned defective when it was user error 97% of the time. The shop owner says they all have the same line when returning the mainboard "The board is no good I know what I am talking about I have a MSCE so I know that the boards no good.

My board is from Abit, and when I first RMA'd it, I don't recall having to pay $25. I went through the reseller and had them do all the work. All I did was describe the problem to them, and have them send it off to Abit. A couple days later, I went to pick it up. The only thing is, I have to do that again! :|

Rain, just curious, did they make you pay the shipping all 9 of those times? because from my experience with Soyo RMA, they still made me pay shipping even under the Warranty period. And I beleive they said they fix the broken board and send it back, and not send brand new ones, they just repackage the fixed one again.

Nope, Just had to pay shipping to get them there to Fremont CA. I suspect some of the boards they sent me where fixed up returned boards also. There was no way to tell since they would only send the board no ide cables or other goodies. Three had bad crappoint bios, two had bad floppy controllers, one could not get enough voltage to the vcore and would just barely boot up, another one had a bad pci slot, another had a bad secondary ide controller and the last one had a spotty ps2 keyboard conector that had a mind of its own.
