Completely depends on if "couple" means 2 or 3 pieces of paper.

Generally a 9x12 and 2 pieces of paper is EXACTLY 1.0 ounce.

Add a 3rd sheet or have heavyweight paper and it edges over into 60 cent territory.

Have a scale handy? I'd put 2 stamps / 60 cents on it to be safe.
