The road that stretches the majority of the way from my college town to my hometown, is one lane in each direction in a lot of places - it had opened up to two lanes, I tried to pass someone who I'd been stuck behind for miles doing 50mph, there was a cop waiting under the overpass, and I was caught.

I'm a lot more careful these days, I don't speed quite so much as I used to. I don't really have the money to be lining the pockets of the local police department, for one thing.

Heh, this is pretty much what happened to me as well. I probably wouldn't have gotten ticketed if I just stayed in my lane or if I was in another lane, but someone was going slower than the speed of traffic in the left lane, so I tried passing him and got nailed.
