How many songs does a 128mb mp3 player hold?

Depends on the bitrate...most songs I download are 192 kbps. I can fit about 20 or so on my friend's iriver 128 mp3 player. On my archos 10 gb, I think I can hold 1000 or more songs, I've never gotten past 2 gig's.

128kbps MP3s are right around 1 MB/minute. So if the average song is 4 minutes long, and you encode at 128kbps, you'll get about 128/4 = 32 songs. At 196, I'd expect about 128/6 = 21. At 64kbps, you should get about 60-65.

An MP3-CD (650MB) holds about 10 hours of music. So a 3GB player would hold almost 48 hours straight of 128kbps MP3-encoded music, or roughly 700 songs. 🙂

My phone has a 128mb MMC in it for playing songs. I currently have 32 songs on it... all of them are 128's

I have 1918 songs in 8.68GB on my iPod, so I guess that would give you 28.2839 songs if you had my libary and only 128MB.

i could fill it with 1 mp3 tho

a 3gigs is a good ammount like 250 or so

3 gigs would give you way more than 250 MP3s.

i go that by devideing my number of mp3s by gigs taken up

6000/27 - ~220 per gig so i messed up iot sould be like 700 for 3 gigs

I have 40 on my iRivier 128 MB. 96kbit VBR encoded. I'm not as picky about music quality when I'm running or lifting.
