How many self-employed ATOTS are out there? (now wtih 100% more pohl)

Just curious how many people in ATOT are self-employed?

Who do you purchase health insurance from? If you don't mind answering, how much are you paying for insurance?

I'm hoping that next year I can quit my job and finally start full-time as a self-employed guy, but I'm not sure where to find health insurance.

Work full time. Employer does not have health insurance until I'm here for a bit of time. So, I bought a 6month policy for $200 of, what I call it, "oh sh!t insurance." It only covers if something bad happens ie wreck, broken leg, gun shot wound, cancer etc. and will not cover any meds, doctor visits etc.

Self-employed, owner of a company with ~12 full-time employees and a handful of contractors. We have a group policy, but I maintain my own simply because it's easier. I pay ~$85/mo for a PPO policy with Blue Cross. I also have life insurance (largely for investment purposes) and disability insurance.

unemployed university student. Ideally I'd like to start a software startup after graduation, but that's not easy, so I'll likely end up working for some nice tech company.

I'm self-employed. Have a Blue Cross Tonik PPO plan.. paying about $98/month. It has unlimited doctor co-pay visits! Great plan...

My husband is self-employed but he's covered by my corporate insurance.
