Chest to ground, what the hell kind of push-up is that?

well near the ground... i see a lot of fools braggin they can do 50 pushups but when i see them do it, they go like 3-4 inches down, then up...girly pushups!

True, that. It's got to be a correct pushup.. (doing fewer with perfect form is far better than doing more with bad form.)

We had to have one guy put a fist under our chest and go down and touch that in gym class.

techically, when doing pushups, you only go down until your arms hit 90 degrees. Then you come backup. "Chest to ground" is how the Marines like to do it, but we also do crunches wrong, so go figure.

I can do 70-80 depending on if I've worked chest/tris that day.

Want a real challege? Try to do pullups. Like 30 of 'em. All the way up, all the way down. WITHOUT the machine helping, for you guys in the gym.

Haha 30, that's crazy. I can do maybe 15 good pullups nonstop.

And about pushups... I don't know but I remeber I did 40 in a row for a class a few years back. These days, I do 200 every day (10 every 30 seconds, easy stuff).

that would be really hard. I can do about 20 in a row...with the machine lifting nearly half my weight. :(

I really doubt I could do 10 consecutive with no help though...

I can do 75 pushups in a row before going to the knees. You also need to remember that most people have no idea how to do a proper pushup and end up just wasting energy. I can only do about 10 pull ups though.
