i was thinking about joining the anandtech team, and was just wondering if there is a need for one more pproxyto hand out blocks? i have a dsl connection, soon to be t3 through work and was wondering if i could help out in any way.

Sure! We would love to have you join Team AnandTech and would be delighted if you provided a pproxy for the team. 
Post the address of the pproxy (or email it to me (email in profile)) and I will get it added to the temp RR setup. Hopefully I can get the RR setup for proxy.teamanandtech.com real soon!
Edit: I think the only real "requirement" of being a TA RR proxy is to point your pproxy to Mika's....
