I have a radeon 9500 that rivatuner identifies as having 256bit memory. I was wondering how many rendering pipelines i have... 3dmark 2003 says that my card does "Textures In Single Pass 8". Does that mean that I have pipelines? Should I return my card and get a radeon 9500 pro?

The Radeon 9500 has 4 pipelines, the Radeon 9500 Pro has 8 pipelines. Both have a 128 bit memory interface. I would suggest getting a 9500 Pro over a 9500; the marginal price increase gets you a much faster card.

Not necessarily, DClark. If Tiggerbaby has one of the early 9500 cards (two memory chips above the GPU and two on the right-hand side) then it's the software moddable board that can unlocked into a 9700 with 8 pipelines. If it is, than I would say to try the newest version of RivaTuner which contains Soft9700 and see if there are any visual artifacts during games. If there aren't any you just got a 9700 for the price of a 9500.
