For some reason my parents don't think I'm going to be able to do this.
I start a new job tomorrow doing phone support for a local ISP. The hours will be 2-11 five days a week. They keep questioning me because I'm also in school and think I should worry more about graduating instead of working. However, for the last 6 years (high school and college) I have gone to school full time and worked about 30 hours a week without any real problems. I can understand their position about graduating being important, but I have been looking for a better job for well over a year (I did work in a hellhole of a restaurant) so when this opportunity presented itself I had to take it.
I've tried to explain this to them, many many times, but it's like talking to a wall. I don't know why they are so concerned, I'm paying for college.
It's things like this that make me hate it when they ask me questions.
