well I have enough off and on college for an AS but that was all while I did on the side while in the Marines. I have been to many employer paid technical schools though, and I make about $72k base. Hard to type baby in one arm, lol.

none but from the subject title...1. He is a year older than i am about i believe. Poor guy, I really feel sorry for him. its not that hejust dropped out, he never finished in the 4 years and i dont think ever will really get his GED or anything higher :( Old friends of yours when you see them just fall apart from the previous life they seemed to have is very depressing. I saw him just the other day. I think he is on some really strong prescription drugs, like.. REALLY strong. He walks the rate of a snail, never has an emotion on his face unless he bursts into laughter while looking around at nothing, you gotta repeat stuff you tell or ask him atleast once and takes years to respond...and just, ah its hard in general, you know? ....................................

I never finished college, and I make more than 70% of the people working for my employer, most of whom have a bachelor's degree.

I have a friend that never went to college, and he brings in over $80k/year. He's even in a management position.

So, I really don't think college is a necessity... at least, at this point in my life.

(Not that you'll ever catch me giving that bit of advice to my kids!)

A better question to ask:

How many successful college grads do you know compared to successful hs grads?

Very few. The key to success for someone with only a high-school level or below education is pretty much exclusively self-employment. Either as a business owner or in a specialized position (like athlete, model, actor, etc). If you're working for someone else with only a high-school education to back you up, you're going to be pretty much consistently out-earned by college grads (excluding lower status degree programs like Women's Studies, etc.)

4 total. Two do well and are self-employed while the other two just bum around all day.
