How many of you guys would want something like this?

Also if you guys do want it, how would you want it to be enforced?

Picture size limit?
Organization? 1 post per user regardless of # of machines? or 1 machine per post?

Any additional rules we should follow? Remember TOS rules always stand ontop.

this would definitely add to the community thing Anandtech is trying to push a little more forcefully

I think this is an awesome idea!

I personally only subcribe to this community (I can pay better attention instead of flipping through 3 or 4 different forums) so having this here would be fun, as well as informative and in some cases inspiring. I can't count how many times I've seen a picture of a case and thought, "Hey that's a better way to do it!"

In reguards to the rules, here are some suggestions
Picture size limit on the post, with picture being a link to a larger size if somebody wants to see it up close and personal. One machine per post. perhaps 3 or 4 pics of it per post. (would help to keep the thread uniform looking which is easier on the eyes) No cases with artwork depicting nudity of course. Restrict it to case only, we don't want to see monitors and keyboards or your USB missle launcher

I think it is a great idea. I would think 1 post per machine would be ideal, but might be a little tough to enforce. I think a picture size limit and possibly a total picture limit might be a good idea.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA i think i saw this on youtube.

Okey so how about general size format of 1024x768? or you guys want 800x600? i think thats a little too small for people runnign high resolution screens. We need to meet a middle ground for both low ressy people and high ressy people.

I was thinkn of unlimited post to that one thread per user. The links are optional in what you want to click.

But yes has to be computer pics only, unless you have the optimus OLED keyboard. That itself deserves to be shown off, [i dont own one but i wish i did]

And as i said, if you want to focus on a cool mod on the case, thats fine too, I want this kind of thread to be both informative, and also fun.

I'd say the bigger resolution, but that's a bandwidth concern maybe? IDK, you're the mod :)

I say there should be no limit to the amount of pictures per post. Maybe it's just me, but if anything annoys me, it's having to click on 10 seperate links to see 10 pictures. I'm not so annoyed by seeing tons of pictures of cases in a case gallery thread. :)

problem is, AT doesnt allow automatic downloading of pictures.

So you would have to click each link one by one. Maybe when they do allow automatic picture downloads we can change them over.

But yes i am not going to limit anyone on there 1 post. You can have it as long as you like as long as it stays on topic and follows the rules. If you want to show a picture of your tigertron with 24 core goodness, then go right on ahead, as long as you show off the case!

I'll let this discussion go on until sunday. On sunday i will make the main thread and then allow the first person to see it to post his rig on the first post.

[Yes im giving that honor to someone else :D]

I'm always checking the galleries at Hardforum just to see what people are doing. I like the way they have different threads for Lian Li's, Antec's, Silverstones, etc.

This would be a GREAT idea!

I'd love to have one after I replaced my broken door on my TJ-09(my fault =( I'm an idiot) and get the new Noctua HSF woot for push pull. Will be when I sort all my cabling out seeing as I just set this up to make sure it worked the way I wanted =)

Ok, so we're talking about a thread full of links, not a thread full of pictures. :( I don't know why I got my hopes up, this is AT. Never have and probably never will integrate images into posts, regaurdless of host. oh well.

+1 for havning a project in the works but, not close enough to finish by sunday.

I have another project in the works as well. And it's going to be funny (at the very least, to me). I can't wait to post pics--I might even actually make a thread in C&C for it.

Wouldn't be a bad idea, as long as you exclude Lian Li owners... :D

:disgust: I'm not even going to ask....

He's expressing a high regard for their cases...as in it would be unfair to anyone who doesn't have a Lian li -- they'd be ignored.
