Posting to see when my 10 years is.

Guess it was for my birthday almost 10 years ago. Was building my first pc and needed help. Got a lot more than that along the way.

I remember when I joined in summer 1999 -under my real name, became dennilfloss after the crash (both the forums and my motherboard) of September-October 1999) - and the oldtimers were already bitching about the influx of newbies making inane, mundane threads. :D

My understanding is about every two years theres some sort of clusterfuck and masses of people leave.
And that was happening before I got here. So theres a HUGE list of people the current old fogies still remember but most of us never heard of.

I never saw Nef, but still hear his stories.

Joined in late '97 and kept my username after the crash. Signed up again the first day after the crash. The 123rd person to sign up. Beat that..... :)

Been here since 98 or so. Had a p100 Packard Bell that cost me about 1300.00 back then. Was on a 28.8 modem and when I upgraded to a 56k I thought I was in heaven.

Peace

I joined in 98, and lost my original user name. First post was asking for some advice on a PII 300MHz build... I think I wanted to know if I could OC it.

hah - post # 1500!
