How many people showed up on Halloween?

It's strange but only two showed up last night. I live in a house in a nice neighborhood. I was expecting tons of kids to show but I was wrong. It has been rather quiet after Sept. 11.

Is trick or treating a dying tradition on Halloween?

In chicago here I got absolutely 0!

Its a residential area too, but it doesn't help that there's a 130 pound rotweiller next door barking and growling as if its going to rip kids' heads off if they approach our buildings.

They what you should do is plan on lots of kids showing up for candy and then when none do you have a bunch of candy taht you can rationalize eating... 🙂

A big fat ZERO

None got past the 2 rotweillers sitting at the end of the driveway. I did see a few dead and mangled goblins lying in the ditch though...looked like a dog had gotten them.

"Is trick or treating a dying tradition on Halloween?"

I would be glad if it did end. I sure wouldn't want to explain this to any future kids I have.

Luckily, I wasn't even home when they went door to door. I had just arrived home when they were on the other end of the street.

None. Then again, I live in an on-campus apartment. One of my friends from the floor below went trick-or-treating as Pikachu. Quite disturbing.

we got around four parties of trick or treaters. it was much less than i was anticipating. the neighborhood isn't bad and the light was on.

my neighborhood generally gets about 100.... and yes, every year it has gone down... it is a tradition for my dad to sit home and tally all the trick or treaters while my mom took us kids around... the last year i went trick or treating was 6 years ago, and we had nearly 200 people... has been goin down every year... oh well, save money on candy...

Nice neighborhood, cold night, many many kids in the area, and not one at my door. Mind you, I am glad, but this spooked me. I had to go outside and make sure no one had nuked my house. Strange....

I got 8 kids, all in one group. Took me way longer to carve the pumpkins than to give out candy....
