How many people here have a 2 dollar bill on them?

Me! I've had one in my wallet since I went to see Star Wars: Ep. 1 with my little bro and dad many years ago. 3 seats were $18 at The Commodore Theater in Portsmouth, VA. I handed the ticket guy a $20 early that afternoon (have to buy tickets early in day), and he handed it back to me.

Had it in my wallet ever since 😀

Nope. I could get a whole bunch of 'em tomorrow, though. 😛

Maybe I'll have to make my next Best Buy purchase with $2 bills.

Contrary to popular belief, $2 bills aren't exactly rare -- go to any bank and ask for them. 🙂

i like to keep them in circulation. not rare at all... they are worth two dollars and available at most banks.

There's been a few stories where ignorant store clerks actually call the cops on people who use two dollar bills. LOL

I had one that I kept in my wallet for about a year, but one day, i was 1 dollar and some change short because I under estimated the tax, so I just used it, meh. I know they're not rare, but it's pretty rare to see them in circulation because people tend to horde them.

Whenever I go to the bank and talk to a teller to make a withdrawl (not very often) I always try to get some. It confuses some people when you give them as payment.

envelope full of them. put away when they were brand new.

a few have red ink a few have blue ink. the rest are normal.

They havent made a red or blue note since 1963...hope you were a kid when you got them 😀

edit Actually the 1966 $100 bill was red.

Use them piss off cashiers who have no designated space for them 😛 The ignorant ones will think you're passing counterfit currency though.

pretty sure he's talking about sacajwea dollar...not a full ounce gold coin...
It's amazing how many people have already forgotten about that coin! I've got one of them lying around, along with one of the huge Franklin silver dollars.
