[When I was an apprentice not far from where Rogo currently lives, a 55 gallon drum of oil fell out of a jury-rigged crane sling and fell on the journeyman I was working with. Fcked him up pretty badly, PLUS his heart stopped. (he was an old man...in his 60's) I did CPR on him and kept him alive until the paramedics arrived...He lived and recovered, but he retired after that.
I've ben involved in several on-the-job rescues with people who were seriously injured, plus performed first-aid on several more over the years. Hard to count any of them, because I don't know if any of them would have died had I not been involved.
During Vietnam, I packed a few Marines to a Corpsman in combat conditions. Can't say if they'd have lived or not if I hadn't helped them out. Some lived, others didn't...I shot and killed a quite a few V.C. that were trying to kill all of us, so do I count that as saving the lives of my squad and me?

I would hope that you voted in the 11+.
When my grandfathers told me about their wartime memories (which were always very terse) I could never really understand what they experienced. You're a very strong person.
